Food was great and prices were even better. Great service too. Next time I am in Spearfish I will definitely be stopping in.

Good food and quantity. We picked ours up to go sit at the park by the fish hatchery to enjoy.

Food is good. I'd say the rice was dry but the rest was good. And watch out for the plates, they come out of the oven so be careful.

Start off with great salsa chips, food is great. Lunch specials very reasonable. Sunday kids meals are 99cents.

Guad's is a local favorite. The chicken quesadilla is huge and you'll almost always have left overs, no judgment if you do end up demolishing all your food. The portion sizes are large and there's a large variety to choose from. If you love queso as much as I do, get it. Don't forget to get one of their margaritas as well! Staff is always friendly and inviting.

4 stars because there was nothing "over the top" or extravagant, but I was definitely surprised by the flavor, cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. The salsa had a mouth tingling hot salsa with blackened flavor that kept me dipping chips as if it were my last meal. I appreciate the lunch menu, it was not an overwhelming portion. Great tex- mex at a good price. It is definitely worth your time and money.

Well at 11:10 we called and they said they open at 11? Hmmm? Got end of bag chips (crumbs). No napkins again hmmm?!?

They are the best! Eat here! You will not regret it!

RAT ran across the floor as we were preparing to leave. We watched the rat run by our table and across the foot of the a lady sitting at the next table and then up the side of another mans foot!!! The restaurant made no compensation for the the filthyness of a rat in their restaurant. We also waited for over 2 hours for our food to be served to us AFTER placing our order!!!

Mexican food in South Dakota. It's actually really good. The owner runs a tight ship and the margaritas are phenomenal. Try the Guadalajara Special it's outstanding. There are chips and salsa on the table with a fun atmosphere. All at a reasonable price. It's as close to authentic as you will get north of Oklahoma.

Traveler beware: we’ve been here 45 minutes and still no food. We thought it would be quick off the highway....

The food and the service were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to the owner as well, who made a point of making us feel very welcome. I had and loved the carne asada... Cooked perfectly and not overdone.

Very good! I will definitely go back. I have spent a lot of time in Latin America and truly love the food and people. They serve authentic Mexican food, the beans and rice are perfect and the hot hot sauce is fantastic. I'd buy a quart if they sold it.

I love Mexican food, and I travel a lot, so I've tried hundreds and hundreds of Mexican restaurants. While passing through Spearfish, I thought I'd add Guadalajara to that list. With overwhelmingly positive reviews, I figured why not? We came in at opening, with only two other parties in front of us, and it took over 30 minutes to get our food, which was a rather simple order. I got a picadillo burrito, and it was the strangest picadillo I've ever seen. It was basically just shredded beef, which had no flavor. Oh, and it was tiny. More than $8 for that and some rice and beans at lunch just didn't tickle me well. The service was okay. They came back to check on us and all that jazz, but what good is that when the food is just.....meh at best? The point of coming to a restaurant is to eat, and enjoy it.

Been going to Guadalajara's for 10 years and have never had a bad meal. Their portions are hefty and the prices within reason.

Good food for the most part. I'm pretty sure that a family runs this one. The main family of owners are very fun and attentive. We've only had bad service once out of the many times we've been there. The worst part about this business is the line to get in because everybody loves it and returns regularly. It's always busy because it's consistently good.

Repost. Came back service was fabulous. Loved the way we were treated by owner and staff. Food was delicious. The mole enchiladas was to die for. Never had them, never heard of but it was delicious. Wow will come back and just eat that.

Always so friendly here! This particular evening they were very busy, which is not unusual. There was no "panic" from employees like you might get at other establishments. Making everything go smoothing and enjoyable.

5 stars for the service, enjoyed the food ( Carne Asada) with friends, will come back for sure! I gave 4 stars for waiting 40 mins for the food, it was a busy night ... So understandable 😅
